|
| |
An exclusive and private destination...... |
| |
Tipiliuke is located in the Chimehuin valley, just 10 minutes away from Chapelco airport, 15 minutes from the new Golf course and about 30 minutes from San Martin de los Andes town.
The Lodge is placed in the middle of a gorgeous garden, surrounded by hundreds of different tree species and bushes planted in 1909; when the family established the cattle ranch. The huge estancia (Cerro de los Pinos) covers more than 40,000 acres of mountains and valleys where the Chimehuin and the Quilquihue rivers run.
The main house combines a magnificent 90 year old original stone-wood architecture with a modern, warm and cozy setup. Nine fully remodeled bedrooms with private bathroom, a big dinning room with fire place, living room, sauna and a beautiful wood bar are part of the elegant enviroment Tipiliuke offers.
Excellent chef style cuisine is handed out with exquisite wines. The hospitality and great service the bilingual staff offers makes this Lodge in one of the most popular options. |

| The Chimehuin River is considered one of the most famous rivers in Patagonia. The perfect structure of this mid size gin clear river is the ideal home to a good number of rainbow and brown trout, making the Chimehuin a world-wide renowed fly fishing destination.... |
| Average trout run 16" to 20", while 21" to 24" fish are often taken. A Majority of trout are rainbows, followed by browns but occasionally Land-lock salmon can be also found. |
| A fascinating universe formed by small channels, deep pools, shallow runs, fast and slow waters, rifles, foam lines, cut-banks, volcanic rocks and boulders bottoms provides the anglers with a hard to beat number of fishing options, where no one gets bored.... |
| Banks covered by willow trees lines provide shade and also shelter in those early season windy days helping both, anglers and hatches, to stay around. |
| Hatches are predictable through most of the season. Caddiss flies, hexagenias, mayflies, baetis, ..... Hoppers season..... |
| Trouble-free and fast access to the fishing areas through internal estancia roads makes it very easy. You'll be fishing in 5 to 15 minutes..... |
| Of course, lunch is also 5 minutes away. With good weather we usually have lunch outside |
| Late Season is always full of surprises! |
