Private Access Water
Exclusive access creates quiet fishing days with time to study the water and work carefully to exceptional fish.
The Lodge
Estancia Arroyo Verde is approximately two hours south of San Martin de los Andes and 90 minutes from Bariloche Airport. Elegant yet deeply connected to its surroundings, it combines attentive service, excellent cuisine and the quiet atmosphere of a private Patagonian home.
The main house offers four comfortable double rooms with private bathrooms, plus a suite in an adjacent building.
A secluded lake cabin, set on a rocky cliff overlooking Traful Lake, accommodates two to four guests just five minutes from the lodge.
A Private Patagonian Retreat
Days here unfold at an unhurried pace: clear-water fishing in a dramatic valley, warm hospitality back at the lodge and quiet evenings surrounded by mountains, forest and open sky.
The Fishing
The Traful runs through a wind- and water-sculpted valley, offering exciting sight fishing in crystal-clear water.
On the Traful, success is not measured by the number of takes. It comes from moving quietly, reading the crystal-clear water, and making each opportunity count. With exceptional browns, powerful rainbows, and landlocked Atlantic salmon in the river, every encounter is memorable.
Fishing is done on foot, adapting the approach to the conditions with large dry flies, mouse patterns, nymphs, or streamers. Trout commonly exceed 22 inches, and our guest record brown reached 34 inches. The Traful is a wade-fishing-only, catch-and-release river.

Large browns, rainbows and landlocked Atlantic salmon reward patience, precise presentations and skilled guiding.
Clear water turns each cast into a visual experience and makes the Traful one of Patagonia’s most technical rivers.
Beyond the River
Arroyo Verde is equally rewarding for guests who simply want to be outdoors. Guided hikes range from relaxed walks near the lodge to more demanding routes with sweeping views across the valley.
The estancia’s gentle horses open up a variety of trails, from short rides to full-day outings into the Andes with a picnic along the way.
Location
The lodge sits within one of Northern Patagonia’s most striking valleys, within convenient reach of Bariloche Airport and San Martin de los Andes.
